Far is a series of experimental compositions featuring ambient electronic textures. I am fascinated in the way we perceive auditory transitions as we move through the landscape, absorbing shifting sounds fast and slow, near and far. Far is an abstraction of these daily sound evolutions.
Each composition is excavated from a single exploratory session of a patch on the modular synth. I find an intriguing initial sound and begin exploring. Gradually adding layers, performing manipulations and sometimes incorporating field recordings and guitar modulations, I build up an aural landscape to walk through.
